After the Fest we spent a few days with our daughter in the Western Reserve (Northeast Ohio). Unfortunately, there had been a death in the extended family so we spent an extra day to accompany them to some of the services. Even through the sadness, it was good to be together with our daughter, her husband, and his family. Nights were spent in MooVan in the apartment’s parking lot.

Then it was on to Chicago. A previous post talked about how we travel and why, including our short visit to Wellington, Ohio, along the way. In Chicago, we spent time with our other daughter and her family. It is always great to be with our grandchildren and their parents: walking our grandson to and from school down the block, watching our granddaughter in her ballet class, eating Mexican food from the neighborhood and deep-dish pizza. We stayed an extra day in Chicago to handle a minor dental emergency. We slept each night in MooVan parked by the curb in front of our daughter’s house.
