Our first day on the road of our next, and longest so far, trip. Hoping to get out of town before the really cold weather hit and we’d have to worry about tanks and lines freezing, we’d been very lucky so far with just draining the gray and black tanks and adding RV antifreeze to the macerator and down the shower, sink, and toilet drains.
We’re heading first to see my brother who is in the midst of a move from their house to a condo so that we can deliver the huge family photo he had given our Dad after his 100th birthday and to help him move if we could. Going back roads and at our usual leisurely pace we stopped for the night at the Frederick Elks lodge #589 and had dinner there and a free drink, feeling very welcomed and at home, chatting with people around the bar. They have hookups there but we didn’t need to use them.
