We woke to a lovely, soon sunny day, excited to be seeing Nancy and Rick, long-time friends from Wooster and before. We probably hadn’t seen them since Hanson’s 2007 birthday celebration.
So easy to just pick up where we left off. We’re all retired now and enjoying life in various ways. Rick had just bought the car of his dreams, an Aston-Martin and Nancy had gone on a longed for trip to the Philippines to visit her sponsored children.
They took us out for a lovely lunch at Demetri’s Greek restaurant nearby and then showed them our van. Rick said he would love to get one too especially since they make a super high top one that would better suit his height of around 6’ 7”.
We reluctantly left them to drive to Severna Park Elks Lodge #2482 for drinks, socializing and stayed the night. We were lucky to get there early as they had rented out their hall for an Xmas party and the lot was full and a little rowdy at times.
